We will walk through downtown Ponce to discover why "Ponce is Ponce," during this cultural and historical journey in the heart of the "Pearl of the South." We will meet at a local shop called Utopía, which is located inside a historic building. Utopía has a café, and we will meet by the tables in this area filled with historic pictures of Ponce, antiques, and quotes about the city. We will start our experience with an overview of Ponce's history. From the café, we will head out and walk south for several blocks, and then return via other streets. Along the walk, I will share interesting facts about Ponce's culture and history, as well as its legends and stories. We'll also have the opportunity to meet local people along the way. Ponce is the flattest downtown center in Puerto Rico, so it will be an easy one-kilometer walk. We will end back at Utopía. Other things to note. The host might be different depending on tour guides availability. Ponce is lucky to have sunshine and blue skies almost everyday, so it will be important to put on sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Also, wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

We will go in an adventure into the Sian Ka'an Bioshpere Reserve located 15 minutes south of Tulum. We will get immersed in the Mayan jungle and experience its liveliness and history. First we will access the Reserve through the Muyil archaeological site which is one of the oldest Mayan cities in the area. We will see the Mayan Temples and walk the jungle trails through the ruins and the lookout spot. Then we will hop on a boat and sail into the Chunyaxché lagoon through commercial routes used by the Mayans. We will then jump in a stream of clear and fresh water where we will float through the mangrove. Other things to note We are visiting a Protected Area. We'll try to contemplate nature in a respectful manner without harming the habitat. Please avoid sunscreen and repellent unless bio-compatible.

We will meet at Plaza Antonia Quiñones Square Park in front of Stella Maris Church. If there's more than 3 participants, own transportation is suggested. From there we'll head to Tortuguero Recreational Area where we're going to start our easy to moderate MTB adventure, pedalling the Tortuguero Lagoon premisses, riding one of my very own favorite trail in the island, the flowy, white sands single trail that's gonna take us to the hidden water spring. Once there, you can fight the heat by getting into the cool and crystal clear waters that pours from underneath the ground and grab some snacks and beverages. After you've cool down and enjoyed the beauty of the flora and fauna of the area, we get back on our bikes and ride back to where we started. So, come and join me in this ultimate MTB experience!!! The whole loop is around 9 to 10 miles, depending on the terrain conditions. Other things to note Hello, Experiences are subject to weather conditions.
