One of the most amazing places in our Santo Domingo city is the 3 eyes Caves National Park. Discover with me the nature of the beautiful micro rainforest, the history of the aboriginal people that once used the caves, take a ride in the man pulled raft to discover the hidden 4th lake.

Going Deep Into The Authentic Dominican Hood
We will meet at our local fishermen dock where we will start our adventure and then we will visit a local market, local shops, walk inside the neighborhood, eat local and authentic breakfast, visit a typical house, eat Dominican ice cream (helado de fundita), visit the neighborhood’s sign, interact with the locals and taste Dominican coffee. We will also ride the Santo Domingo’s cable car, where you will see a good amount of colorful neighborhoods from above all the way from the national district to Northern Santo Domingo, hear their history, and also ride the Santo Domingo’s train. Then back to the entrance of the train station where we will end our trip.
Additional: A boat ride can be included at an additional charge passing underneath six of the most important bridges in Santo Domingo, seeing the tree where Christopher Columbus tied up his ships during his visits to Santo Domingo, Christopher Columbus son’s castle, first chapel built in America and the jail-fortress where Christopher Columbus was incarcerated.

Esta cachoeira de 20 metros de altura, juntamente com a caverna mais mágica da República Dominicana, permitirá que você mergulhe na natureza, desfrute de vistas espetaculares e viva uma verdadeira experiência dominicana.
Nos encontraremos no Columbus Park, na Zona Colonial, para começar nossa jornada até a cachoeira, a 50 minutos da cidade. Desfrute de paisagens panorâmicas e mergulhe na cultura dominicana ao longo do caminho.
Na chegada, seja recebido pelo autêntico café dominicano preparado por Doña Ramona, faremos uma caminhada de 15 minutos por uma cena tropical para chegar à deslumbrante cachoeira de 20 metros de altura. O caminho é íngreme, mas seguro.
Depois de passar cerca de duas horas e meia nadando, tirando fotos e explorando nosso local secreto favorito, voltaremos ao ponto de partida para um delicioso almoço tradicional dominicano, perfeito para relaxar e desfrutar da culinária local.

We depart at 6am (pick up might start up to 30 minutes before). It's a 2-hour road trip with beautiful sights of the mountains to get to the town where we are having a typical dominican breakfast.
After breakfast, we begin our journey. It's a 3 to 4-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. Swimming is mandatory (no need to know how to swim, you'll have a life vest). Water is cold. You can leave your bags in the car while hiking.
After hiking, we change clothes (by the car, there's no restroom). Then we go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. We come back happy and with good memories to Santo Domingo at 5pm.

Dance salsa ou bachata em Santo Domingo
Enjoy authentic Salsa or Bachata dancing in the heart of Santo Domingo, with an experienced, professional and friendly dance instructor. We have a good balance of learning and practical dance.
We meet in Zona Colonial and visit a few of the iconic dance bars & clubs. Enjoy a friendly night full of dancing and fun. With an introduction to other dancers.
I teach Bachata/Salsa beginner-intermediate. For more advanced learning I bring an additional instructor.

7.30-9.30pm: Learning experience. Structured personal class followed by social dancing in bars
9.30-11.30pm: Strictly Dancing experience- social dancing in bars

First thing first, let's get personal... Let's meet at a local colmado (or coffee shop if you prefer) and get to know each other, I have found the best time starts when there is confidence so let's start with that, I will also share important information about Dominican Republic and the lifestyle.
Now, let's walk towards La Tarazana! On the way we will stop at the main attractions, the best bars to cool down, and other hidden gems.

You’ll start in Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone, we’ll see the Caribbean side of the old city, as we walk, eventually getting to the old city walls that once protected the city from pirates. We'll visit the Indepence Park an important landmark commemorating the Dominican Republic’s struggle for independence.
Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to explore local markets, filled with fruits, vegetables, grains, and spices, as well as the spices used in Dominican cuisine.
Learn about how Spanish and Arab immigrants brought their influence to the island. Discover the african - spanish religious syncretism of the Dominican Voodoo. We'll learn about the Dominican handmade crafts used in the countryside lifestyle and walk through Little Haiti and China Town to explore the small, picturesque businesses.
If you’re getting hungry, our walk takes us to few of the most traditional local cafeterias and bakeries in the city, where you can try much delicious and locally loved treats

Looking for things to do in Dominican Rpublic? Ready to explore the Dominican desert and its sand dunes, salt ponds and coral reefs?
We depart at 6:30am (Pickup might start up to 30 minutes before), take a 2-hour road trip to Salinas, with some stops on the way.
Our first stop is for an authentic Dominican breakfast at a local place. After that, we visit the sand dunes and spend some time learning about them, taking pictures, and of course, sandboarding. I'm not a certified instructor, we're just having fun. No experience required.
After having fun at the dunes, we walk through the salt mines and its pink lakes, where we see the salt process and workers taking salt out of the lakes.
Our last attraction is playa El Derrumbao, where we are going to do some snorkeling. To get there, we take a 20 minute walk (one way) under the hot sun. We walk into the beach with urchins and grab the goggles to watch the coral reefs and fish underwater. It's beautiful!
Then, we walk back and change clothes by the car. There's no dressing room, Then we go back to the same local place for some authentic Dominican lunch. After lunch, we return to Santo Domingo, happy and tired at around 5pm.

Acompáñame a recorrer uno de los barrios populares más icónicos de Santo Domingo donde crearás recuerdos que nunca olvidarás. Es una inmersión en el pueblo, donde caminaremos por las bulliciosas callecitas de una parte de Gualey, una comunidad típica de la margen del río Ozama repleta de vibrante vida. Conjuntamente con nuestro guia de la comunidad, conoce la interesante historia de la fundación del barrio, la vida cotidiana, como trabajan (mercaditos, tiendecitas, proyectos de peces), como se desarrollan en el aspecto social y como se divierten (Incluyendo unos bellísimos cenotes con aguas de manantial). Degusta algunas de las comidas populares más icónicas de la ciudad preparadas por expertos locales. Es una oportunidad también para conocer la realidad de los barrios marginados de República Dominicana escuchando y viendo algunos de sus problemas sociales y el cómo la comunidad se está empoderando para resolverlos de manera creativa, alegre y colaborativa.
Verás todo esto, y tan solo caminaremos unos tres kilómetros y medio. Es un recorrido fácil, aunque en algunas pocas ocasiones puede ser demandante solo por una empinada colina que la haremos despacio y aprendiendo del lugar. Cuando regresemos, nos despediremos con una cerveza helada escuchando merengue, bachata y dembow junto a los locales.

Welcome to your individual Bachata and Salsa class! As your personal instructor, I bring the excitement of Latin dance to you in an easy and comfortable way.
We will meet outside at Plaza de la Hispanidad or Spain.
Classes are for everybody. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or complete beginner. All are welcomed to enjoy and learn.
Your private class is designed to meet you where you are, both your current dance skill.
We will start with a brief introduction to the rich history and cultural of Bachata and Salsa.
We will move at your peace. Looking at fundamental footwork, partner connection, authentic styling, dancing on beat, developing your natural rhythm and doing turns/spins. I aim to have you Bachata and Salsa dancing comfortably and confidently by the end of the class.
These classes are fun, enjoyable and engaging. I really love salsa and bachata, I am blessed and grateful to share my passion with you.

Aprende a tocar maracas y cencerro en la zona colonial
En esta fantastica experiencia te daré un tours por los mejores bares de la zona colonial para que disfrutes de nuestra musica tropical, te enseñaré a tocar instrumentos de percusion tales como: Maracas, Cencerro y la clave.
Intinerario:
Nos encontraremos a las 8:30 pm en el Sarten, el Sartén es un bar bohemio con una historia bellisima que contar donde las personas que lo frecuentan son de la tercera edad pero con un espíritu joven, alegre y vivaz; en este bar colocan los mejores Merengues, Salsas, Son y Bachatas para bailar.
A las 9:15 pm iremos a Parada 77 un bar tan divertido como tú, con 22 años de trayectoria y donde podrás dejar una huella de tu paso por este pais, debido a que te permiten poner tu nombre en las paredes con creyón permanente y ese recuerdo quedará en la historia de ese lugar.
A las 10:00 pm iremos al museo del ron dominicano, este bar es uno de los más recientes en la zona colonial pero con un diseño elegante, fresco y colonial que te dejará enamorado y querrás tomarte fotos para subirlas a tus redes sociales.

After breakfast, we begin our journey. It's a 3 to 4-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. Swimming is mandatory (no need to know how to swim, you'll have a life vest). Water is cold. You can leave your bags in the car while hiking.
After hiking, we change clothes (by the car, there's no restroom). Then we go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. We come back happy and with good memories to Santo Domingo at 5pm.

Descubra uma cachoeira escondida na província mais verde da República Dominicana e a misteriosa Caverna dos 3 Olhos conosco! Esta cachoeira de 20 metros de altura, juntamente com a caverna mais mágica da República Dominicana, permitirá que você mergulhe na natureza, desfrute de vistas espetaculares e viva uma verdadeira experiência dominicana.
Nos encontraremos no Columbus Park, na Zona Colonial, para começar nossa jornada até a cachoeira, a 50 minutos da cidade. Desfrute de paisagens panorâmicas e mergulhe na cultura dominicana ao longo do caminho.
Na chegada, seja recebido pelo autêntico café dominicano preparado por Doña Ramona, faremos uma caminhada de 15 minutos por uma cena tropical para chegar à deslumbrante cachoeira de 20 metros de altura. O caminho é íngreme, mas seguro.
Depois de passar cerca de duas horas e meia nadando, tirando fotos e explorando nosso local secreto favorito, voltaremos ao ponto de partida para um delicioso almoço tradicional dominicano, perfeito para relaxar e desfrutar da culinária local.
Diga adeus à cachoeira e prepare-se para um passeio de 45 minutos em direção a Santo Domingo para visitar a famosa caverna 3 Eyes. Aqui, exploraremos suas incríveis cavernas e lagos subterrâneos enquanto aprendemos sobre sua história fascinante.
Em seguida, voltaremos ao Columbus Park, terminando um dia cheio de aventuras, novas experiências e novos amigos.

One of the most amazing places in our Santo Domingo city is the 3 eyes Caves National Park. Discover with me the nature of the beautiful micro rainforest, the history of the aboriginal people that once used the caves, take a ride in the man pulled raft to discover the hidden 4th lake.

Dance salsa ou bachata em Santo Domingo
Enjoy authentic Salsa or Bachata dancing in the heart of Santo Domingo, with an experienced, professional and friendly dance instructor. We have a good balance of learning and practical dance.
We meet in Zona Colonial and visit a few of the iconic dance bars & clubs. Enjoy a friendly night full of dancing and fun. With an introduction to other dancers.
I teach Bachata/Salsa beginner-intermediate. For more advanced learning I bring an additional instructor.
Please let me know if you would like a salsa or bachata focused experience.

Please note different times offer different focuses:
7.30-9.30pm: Learning experience. Structured personal class followed by social dancing in bars
9.30-11.30pm: Strictly Dancing experience- social dancing in bars
No classes after 9pm.
Every night has a full lesson at 7.30pm with the experience except Saturday & Sunday. Class on the weekend or after 9pm are possible but please message first to arrange. Or see my other airbnb experience
