Rappelling off the rock formation known at the "Magic Mushroom" is one of the coolest things (other than kiteboarding) one can do here in Cabarete. It's a must!

Excellent Dominican food, right across the street from our condo in Ocean Dream. Ana the owner has been keeping me fed and happy since 2002!

Deslocar-se

Walking the beach to town

Walking on the beach to town is safer and more pleasant than taking the road. At night the safest option is taking a taxi home, or a public "carrito" that you can flag down from the main street in Cabarete (they have a taxi like sign on the top). Tell them to let you off at "Cajellon de la Loma/Ocean Dream" - The cost is $100 DOP per person (during the day it's half that, 50 DOP per person.)
Viajar com crianças

Kids are very welcome in Cabarete!

Bring your kiddos and enjoy the family friendly vibe of Latin America - Dominicans really love children.
