Arts & Culture
Magnificent museum which has Irish and International art, pre-history artefacts, Irish history over the last 400 years or so, industrial revolution, Irish politics over last 200 years or so, Egyptian mummy, Spanish Armada, Geology, natural history, and a very respectful exhibition on the ground floor documenting the relatively recent troubles which is worth seeing in its own right. Hard to find such a great museum and variety all under one roof. Closed Mondays unless it is a bank holiday monday. In grounds of Botanic Gardens and just beside Queens' university, also visit the Palm House. Nice coffee shops - try Conor Cafe or Maggie Mays. Entrance is donation only.
