This is a great place for a half day visit. You can obtain a key from the Port Lincoln Visitors Centre as the kiosk is not always open. There are a multitude of tracks and sight seeing spots. Be careful of waves and obey warning signs not to climb on rocks which may be subject to freak waves. Take a jacket as this area can be wild and windy!

Just around the corner from Fisheries you will find Wreck Beach. There are massive sand hills so perfect for sand boards. The shore break is popular for beginner surfers but please be aware Wreck often has strong rips. Beach access is only by 4wd but you can park a sedan and walk over the sand hills to the beach. If you follow the tracks, this area is also the start of a popular 4wd track, the Sleaford to Wanna run.

Louth Bay is a short drive out of Port Lincoln. It was my favourite beach when my kids were little as it is a very clean and safe beach with gentle tides generally. You can drive down onto the beach (best for a 4wd but I’ve seen an occasional sedan do it!). There is a toilet block and water tap in the car park. A nearby jetty is a nice walk.
